1. What is the Oxdog Open Floorball Tournament?

The Oxdog Open Floorball Tournament is an annual competitive floorball event that brings together teams from various regions to compete in a high-energy and fun-filled atmosphere.

It is designed for players of all skill levels, offering a chance to showcase their abilities and connect with the floorball community.

2. Where is the tournament held in 2025?

The Oxdog Open Floorball Tournament is being hosted at the Mitchell Athletic Center on the University of Guelph campus. Located in the heart of Guelph, Ontario - the campus is a vocal point of the surrounding community, providing not only a beautiful backdrop but also state of the art facilities to host our annual tournament.

3. Who can participate in the tournament?

The tournament is open to both recreational and competitive teams. Teams of all skill levels are welcome, with categories for men and women depending on registration numbers.

4. How do I register for the Oxdog Open Tournament?

Registration can be done online via the official tournament website.



Keep an eye on deadlines, as spots fill up quickly. Be sure to fill out all the required information for team registration.


5. What equipment do I need to play?

Players need to bring their own floorball sticks, appropriate indoor shoes.


For the duration of the tournament each team must have matching coloured shirts with clearly marked numbers on the back that are unique with not repeats throughout the posted roster.


6. What is the format of the tournament?

The tournament follows a round-robin format in the preliminary rounds, with teams progressing to knockout stages based on their pool play results. Depending on the number of regsitered teams within each division will determine the exact format for the knockout stage. However, each team is guaranteed at least 3 games throughout the weekend.


7. Are there prizes for the winners?

Yes! The winning teams in each division will win the division trophy, which is used for photos following the presentation.


Other prizes are awarded for the tournament including individual awards such as Best Player or Best Goalkeeper.

8. How can I get involved if I’m not playing?

If you’re not participating as a player, you can still be part of the event by volunteering, cheering on the teams, or even helping out with event logistics.


We welcome support from fans, volunteers, and community members to help make the tournament a success. Fill out the volunteer form - to let us know more information about you and how we can find the best fit for you.


9. What health and safety measures are in place?

The health and safety of participants are a top priority. The tournament has first aid staff present through each court, and is ready at a moment's notice when an unlikely issue may arise.


10. How do I sponsor the Oxdog Open?

Sponsorships of various amounts are available for everyone who is interested.
